Since 1994, the International St. Dominic's Run has been an integral part of the St. Dominic's Fair every year. It's the sporting highlight of the summer on the Coast, recognised in its class as the most attractive running and promotional event for participants and partners in Poland. This year, for the thirty-second time, this prestigious endeavour will gather tens of thousands of fans and guests, as well as over 1,200 runners eager to sign up, in the historic city centre of the main city. Participation in the St. Dominic's Run is an honour for every participant. The high status of the event has been recognised by the President of the City of Gdańsk and the Presidents of AMBEREXPO and ENERGA from the Orlen Group, who will be the Sponsors of the Winners' Cups.
The event is held in the unique setting of Gdańsk's tenement houses, which creates an inimitable atmosphere for the event. The race route in the Main Town Centre, with the start and finish line at Neptune, forms a closed loop of 1412m running along the streets: Długi Targ, Powroźnicza, Kotwiczników, Podwale Przedmiejskie, Zbytki, Bogusławskiego, Ogarna, Garbary, and Długa. This allows spectators to easily follow the events on the course of each run. The incredible support of over 25,000 spectators carries every amateur and professional runner to the finish line.
In this wonderful setting, on 1st August 2026, we will hold the St. Dominic's Run, whose programme includes 4 races united by the common slogan „Chase St. Dominic”. The event will be opened by the „Chase St. Dominic” Prologue for all fair participants, parents with children and seniors. The winners will be everyone who decides to join us, stands at the start and reaches the finish line. In the spirit of the modern Olympic Games principle – it is not the victory that matters, but participation in this project.
The „wheelchairs” race promotes sport for people with disabilities as part of the „Integration through Sport” programme.
For amateur runners who want to compete with friends and beat their personal bests, the classic Lotto Cup Women's 5km Run and Energa Cup Men's 5km Run will take place. The main sporting attraction, focusing the attention of spectators and the media, will be the Men's Elite Race – the PZLA Polish 10km Championships, featuring top Polish runners, outstanding foreign athletes, and qualified amateurs competing for national supremacy.
The organiser of the St. Dominic's Fair is Międzynarodowe Targi Gdańskie S.A., the owner of AMBEREXPO – one of the most modern exhibition and congress facilities in Poland. We specialise in organising events of local, national, and international scope: trade fairs, exhibitions, congresses, conferences, events, fairs, and outdoor events.
