On the occasion of the 765th anniversary of the first edition of St Dominic's Fair , the International Gdańsk Fair announce a unique photo competition. The fair, which has its roots in the commercial tradition of Gdańsk, has attracted exhibitors and tourists for centuries, becoming an integral part of the city's culture. The first edition of the Fair took place in 1260, and since then it became one of the largest and most important summer festivals in Europe.
Over the centuries St Dominic's Fair developed, combining elements of traditional trade with modern elements. Today it is a place where you can not only buy unique craft products, but also to taste dishes from around the world, participate in artistic and cultural events. The modern fair is Festival Of Wonders , combining historical heritage with modern trends, offering both traditional craftsmanship and innovative products.
The aim of the competition is to collect historical photos that document the rich heritage of St Dominic's Fair . This is a great opportunity to share your archival photographs and contribute to creating a unique exhibition or album (depending on the number of photos transmitted) of this extraordinary event.
