Let us travel back in time to a place that was the heart of every Polish home – the kitchen. In times when shops were bare, and ingenuity was the most precious spice, it was at the kitchen table, covered with an oilcloth, that the best flavours, the most interesting conversations, and the strongest bonds were born.
Every Thursday and Friday, we'll jointly explore the culinary and social phenomena of the 70s and 80s. This isn't just a sentimental journey into the tastes of childhood, but above all, a fascinating story about resourcefulness, community, and the strength that lies in everyday life.
Together with our exceptional guests – Solidarity legends, historians, sociologists, and women who could conjure up true feasts from „nothing” – we will discuss how people cooked, celebrated, and „improvised” to fill their plates. We will learn what ordinary people ate, what kitchens were like during strikes, and how old money-saving tricks inspire today's zero-waste movement.
