We invite all residents of Gdańsk and tourists to take part in one of the most beloved attractions of the St. Dominic's Fair – "The Amber Catcher"! From July 25th to August 16th, both children and adults can try their hand at searching for amber treasures.

In the "Amber Fisher" zone, organised in cooperation with the Union of Baltic Cities, amber nuggets await you. In a special pool filled with water and hundreds of thousands of small stones, participants can try their luck and find the gold of the Baltic Sea. It's a fantastic pastime that provides a lot of joy and satisfaction, especially for the youngest participants.
After completion, we invite interested individuals to the house next to the amber collector, where everyone can weigh their collected amber. For those interested, there is an option to obtain a commemorative certificate for the price of 10 zł.
The total revenue from the sale of certificates will be used to support the All-Polish Sea and Amber Knowledge Competition – a unique educational initiative aimed at young people from all over Poland.
This competition not only popularises knowledge about maritime and amber heritage, but also supports the development of passions, promotes local history and inspires young people to learn science through play and competition. Every year, hundreds of students from different regions of the country participate – from primary to secondary schools – who, by taking part, have the opportunity to develop their interests and gain new experiences.
By supporting this goal, you help us reach even more young participants with this valuable initiative, while also investing in the maritime education of future generations. Additionally, each certificate entitles the holder to one free entry to the Amber Museum. – where history meets natural beauty.
