The Kociewie Festival is one of the undertakings promoting the culture of one of the most important subregions of the Pomeranian Voivodeship during St Dominic's Fair . It is a combination of several projects in which about 1,000 people participate. Every year, local governments and institutions from the region join their organization - (Poviat Eldership in Starogard Gdański, Local Tourist Organization Kociewie, Factory of Arts from Tczew, Starogardzkie Centrum Kultury, Local Action Groups Chata's Chatiewa and the Kociewie Ribbon, Starogard poviats, Tczew and Świecki and Kociewie Communes

Kociewie Festival in 2024, similarly to previous years, will consist of three elements:

Kociewski Pageant
The colorful march of the inhabitants of Kociewie, who with singing and dance invites passers -by to fun together. This is a unique element of the Kociewie Festival, as well as St Dominic's Fair . Kociewska music and street dances in colorful Kociewie costumes show Kociewie as an interesting region, which goes to Gdańsk with its cultural offer and allows you to join the celebration. Kociewski procession and always meets with great interest of passers -by and tourists. From year to year, the group of marching is growing, they are primarily the inhabitants of Pomerania who define themselves with Kociewie's friends.

Kociewie Art
Exhibition of works by artists (painters, graphic designers, sculptors, etc.) related to Kociewie organized at the Baltic Sea Cultural Center.
The ceremonial opening will take place on the day of KOCIEW HOLIDAY, and the artists' works will be available at the exhibition a few days after the event. Cultural units from Tczew, Starogard Gdański and Świecie will be responsible for the selection of works. Kociewie ART is primarily intended to show visitors to the Baltic Sea Cultural Center a contemporary approach to art created in the region. The development of contemporary culture and art of the Region is an important element for the inhabitants of Kociewie, who are looking for their roots by rediscovering heritage and traditions. This year, the exhibition will present the works of: Magdalena Haras, Adam Jakub Haras, Aleksandra Mocny and the painting group of the Society of Lovers of the Secular Land. 📍Old Town Hall ul.
