764. St Dominic's Fair goes down in history. 23 days of the miracle festival brought many unforgettable moments, shopping for fairs, miracle, meetings with interesting people and culture. The return of one of the largest outdoor events in Europe is planned from July 26 - August 17, 2025.
For three years of weeks, Gdańsk lived a great festival of wonders in which St Dominic's Fair turned into. Guests from around the world visited this unique place, and satisfied exhibitors already book places for rail edition. However, St Dominic's Fair is not only trade - it is a space where various social ideas meet, a place of intergenerational integration, which, like Gdańsk, reflects the spirit of freedom. During the Emotion Festival, we learned, rested and discovered. Everyone found something for themselves: seniors relaxed in a green salon, young people were involved in the Equality Day, and the children experienced unforgettable adventures at the Przystanek Adventure with Ambersky. It is the diversity that makes St Dominic's Fair a unique event, where tradition combines with modernity, creating a unique Festival Of Wonders , which will remain in the memory of participants for a long time.
THE FAIR SAYS GOOD NIGHT
Although it was still colorful, joyful, surprising, combining history with a modern message, the opening ceremony, whose partner was Energa from the Orlen group, on Sunday the time came for the closing ceremony, which crowned 764. St Dominic's Fair . The keys to Gdańsk were given by the buyers to the authorities. Exhibitors will report for them again on the last Saturday of July 2025. Before the official closing of St Dominic's Fair institutions struggling for the prize in the Dominik Kultury competition were honored. This is a special distinction for those who shared their artistic and creative talents with passion and commitment. This year, the event was supported by: Gdańsk Museum, Municipal Miniatura Theater, Capella Gedanensis, Provincial and Municipal Public Library, the Baltic Culture Center and the Gdańsk Culture Archipelago, the Nowa Zone Kultury Foundation, the Nowe Foundation goes from the sea and the Academy of Fun and Education.
The competition jury awarded the prizes in the Dominik Kultury competition: the first prize went to the Miniatura Theater - a voucher of PLN 7,000. PLN, the second prize was awarded to the Provincial and Municipal Public Library in Gdańsk - a voucher of PLN 3,000. PLN, while the distinction went to Cappella Gedanensis.
St Dominic's Fair were also recalled , which were first settled in three categories. The Grand Prix was given a good idea by Dariusz Zekoweza - wystrugane.pl for wooden good - chopping and serving boards. Two distinctions were also awarded, for: art - for the world of fabrics and in the corner of the collage - Łukasz Kuleta for artistic collages.
The Dobry Smakołyk Grand Prix was won by the Pan Trójniak product from Meadway for its regional mead with the addition of pepper and elderberry . The distinction went to Otomańska Pokusa for traditional Turkish sweets according to an original recipe.
This year's novelty was the refreshment of the Good Taste category. Six fair caterers competed during live cooking and were judged by: Andrzej Polan and Sebastian Cichy , authorities in the world of gastronomy, as well as Gdańsk City Councilor Piotr Dzik and Vice-President of the Gdańsk International Fair Paweł Orłowski .
Honorable mentions in this category went to: Azima - for pilaf and Piwnica Rajców - for fried herring. The Grand Prix was awarded to RC Reinaldo , a representative of Cuban cuisine, for ropa vieja, i.e. pulled beef with yellow rice.
The winners of the Grand Prix received statuettes, vouchers in the amount of PLN 5,000 for the purchase of a stand at St Dominic's Fair 2025 and commemorative diplomas. However, they were honored with vouchers from Polferries - for a cruise to Sweden and commemorative diplomas. In the good taste category, distinguished and winners additionally received gifts from the Lubian table porcelain plant.
St Dominic's Fair is not only rewards, bargaining or fun, but also a place for social actions, to help and create a community and good practices. The main sponsor of the event - the Amberky observation wheel and the organizers - the International Gdańsk Fair once again got involved in the campaign near Dreams. During the fair, at the Przystanek Adventure with Ambersky, there was a place where you could leave your dreams written on the card. And they fell into special boxes over 3,000!
The 36 drawn dreams were handed over on Sunday, at the Adventure Stop with AmberSky. During the Closing Ceremony of the Fair on the front steps of the Artus Court, the dream of donating food for dogs from the Promyk shelter was realized. A representative of the shelter received a voucher worth PLN 10,000 from Mrs. Oliwia, who had thrown her dream into the Dream Circle, and a representative of the dream's founders - the AmberSky Observation Circle and the Gdańsk International Fair - the vice-president of MTG, Paweł Orłowski. zloty. The small and big dreams of the Fair participants could be fulfilled thanks to the cooperation with the AmberSky Observation Club, the Gdańsk Tourist Organization, Żegluga Gdańsk, Lechia Gdańsk and the Wykrzycznik Academy of Fun and Education.
FAIR HITS
613 exhibitors at 760 stands encouraged people to buy, bargain and be inspired by their works - including gastronomic ones. For over 60 thousand m 2 , visitors found such wonders as dumpling-shaped accessories sold by an exhibitor from the United States. Ceramics from Uzbekistan and perfume manufacture were very popular. In gastronomy, the following were very popular: Parmesan pasta and Cuban cuisine - winner of the Grand Prix in the Good Taste category.
Special fair streets were also an inspiration, where you could do unique shopping in the form of modern posters, paintings, jewelry and original clothes.
- It is very difficult to give the keys to the city because we hear from many sides, that it was a successful time. St Dominic's Fair next year , although it will definitely be difficult to match this year's event. Behind us is great moments, such as engagement during the opening ceremony. CULTURAL EMOTIONS, OR FAIR STOPS
For the first time in St Dominic's Fair consisted of five thematic stops. To the well -known from the previous years: Przystanek Adventure with Amberky (here also for the first time in the history of the Fair there was a titular partner of the stop), stop of Smaki, Przystanek Equality, Przystanek Port Gdańsk Pod Żagla (second in history with the titular partner) joined the retro stop at the collector zone.
The youngest participants of St Dominic's Fair the adventure with Ambersky . It was here that the traveler's passports "made" over 600 children, and almost 900 children took part in special workshops. Here was also the aforementioned Circle of Dreams. At the stop, the Adventure with Amberky SPONSOR EVENT invited to the zone of permanent attractions: a maze with puzzles, a sensory cubic, a relaxation zone, creating the inscription String Art, treasure hunter - rafting river - a house with a VR simulator and a Gdańsk carousel. The Ambersky and Spinning Coaster Virming barrels located on Ołowianka also included permanent attractions. At the Przystanek Przygoda with Ambersky there was also a fairy tale supported by Helios cinema.
Przystanek Smaków - the only one without a stage for the daily program, but with a beautiful relaxation zone located on Świętopełka Square - attracted not only culinary fans, but also those who wanted to rest between shopping. It was here that the charity campaign Cicha Polana Smaków took place, during which over PLN 4,300 was collected for the Hospice Foundation. We also hosted the Zone of Cities and Regions and the Radio Zet studio on Świętopełka Square.
Przystanek Równość hosted many fairs, such as: the Bread Festival, the Volunteer Festival (a charity collection was also held here), the Equality Festival, the Social Economy Festival and the Pomeranian Craft Festival. It was a place for intergenerational meetings, a place for conversations on important topics, a place for concerts, artistic performances and time well spent. Thanks to the support of the Gdańsk Water and Sewage Infrastructure, the well-known and popular Concerts under the Stars were held here. Part of the stop was the Green Salonik for Seniors, whose partner was Ikea. There, a special program was carried out from Monday to Friday. And all in cooperation with, among others: with the Youth City Council and the Gdańsk Senior Council. As many as 33 organizations took part in activities in the Senior Zone, including 5 senior clubs: Tęcza, Wzgórze Radości, X Muza, Senioryci and Mróweczki. As much as 23 kg of amber was poured into the nearby Amber Diver and almost 1,100 diver certificates were issued. The partners of Przystanek Równość were: Live More.Pomerania and the City of Gdańsk.
The Port Gdańsk pod Żaglami stop on Ołowianka is mainly composed of music series: Jazz on the Island or Summer Sounds, this is where the open-air cinema was located and the Football Film Festival and the broadcast of the final match of the Olympic Games with the participation of the white and red volleyball players took place. This year, for the first time, the stop gained its title partner, the Port of Gdańsk. Thanks to his support, cultural activities were held at the stop.
All the above-mentioned stops were connected to food and shopping zones.
The Fifth Retro Stop was a place of return to the past of the 1970s and 1980s - including: thanks to a great fashion show or an exhibition of Polish vintage cars. The stars of the TV show Treasure Hunters were present at the bus stop and talked about their fascination with antiques and objects with soul, and Arkadiusz Woźniak auctioned the items.
FESTIVAL ATMOSPHERE
This year's edition of St Dominic's Fair was characterized by a festival atmosphere. The daily program included over 200 larger and smaller events. It began with a slightly refreshed opening ceremony, which brought, among others Engagement on stilts - actors playing the roles of fortune and Hermes.
The fair stages hosted 63 musical events, one of which took place on a six-person bicycle. In addition, there were 21 theater events and over 60 events aimed at children. 54 workshops were held, and viewers watched 11 feature-length films on the cinema screen.
The attention of visitors was also caught by Flash Mob performed by four jazz musicians who, on the streets of the market streets, playing jazz, promoted the November Inside Seaside festival taking place in AMBEREXPO.
FAIR POMERANIA
The promotion of the region is also one of the main assumptions of St Dominic's Fair . In cooperation with the Marshal's Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, a Pomorska Street was established. EXPRESS DISMANTLING
Once again, at a record pace, the fair infrastructure will disappear from the streets of Gdańsk. Dismantling will begin on Monday, August 19.
