COMPETITION for the Grand Prix of the St Dominic's Fair resolved. Wonders of 2024 selected.

24th Grand Prix of the St Dominic's Fair resolved. We announced the winners in three categories. The Good Idea Grand Prix was awarded to Dariusz Okłaza - ZESTRUGANE.pl for wooden goods - original cutting and serving boards. The Good Taste category was won by the Pan Trójniak product from Meadway for its regional mead with pepper and elderberry. In the Good Taste category, RC Reinaldo won for the Cuban dish ropa vieja.

Grand Prix prizes are awarded during the St Dominic's Fair since 2001. This is a prestigious competition intended for all exhibitors. Its aim is to consistently improve the quality of the presented offers and promote the best exhibitors.

On Thursday, the competition jury went to the fair stands to select, evaluate and award exhibitors in two categories. Good Idea - for the best handicrafts and craftsmen and Dobry Smakołyk - for exhibitors offering food.

The Good Idea Grand Prix was awarded to Dariusz Okłaza - ZESTRUGANE.pl for wooden goods - original cutting and serving boards, created with passion. Two distinctions were also awarded: Sztuka – AZ for the original world of fabrics and W Wirażu Collage – Łukasz Kuleta for artistic collages.

The Dobry Smakołyk Grand Prix was won by the Pan Trójniak product from Meadway from Wilków for its regional mead with the addition of pepper and elderberry. The distinction went to Ottomanska Pokusa for traditional Turkish sweets according to an original recipe.

This year, the Good Taste category was refreshed, in which the competition among fair gastronomes could be followed on Friday at Świętopełka Square. Exhibitors prepared their dishes in two qualifying rounds. They were assessed by: Andrzej Polan and Sebastian Cichy , authorities in the world of gastronomy, as well as the Chairman of the Grand Prix, City Councilor of Gdańsk Piotr Dzik and Vice-President of the Gdańsk International Fair Paweł Orłowski .

The Good Taste Grand Prix was awarded to the following winners by the jury: Azima - for pilaf and Piwnica Rajców - for fried herring. The Grand Prix went to the representative of Cuban cuisine, RC Reinaldo - for ropa vieja or pulled beef with yellow rice.

The Grand Prix winners received statuettes and vouchers in the amount of PLN 5,000 for the purchase of a stand at the St. Patrick's Fair. Dominika 2025 and commemorative diplomas, while the honorees were honored with vouchers from Polfferies - for a cruise to Sweden and commemorative diplomas. In the Good Taste category, the distinguished and winners additionally received gifts from the Lubiana Table Porcelain Plant.
