Phase St Dominic's Fair
- This year, St Dominic's Fair will take place from July 27 - August 18 at around 60,000. m2. This is a large space over which we try to control the best. Listening to the voice of the inhabitants, it seems that we are going in the right direction from year to year. By following the suggestions that we receive during meetings with Gdańsk residents, as in the previous year, the fair can not be found on a long and fishing coast. This place is intended for walks and ideal for admiring the beautiful Gdańsk. In return, as in the previous year, the stalls will be on ul. Podwale Staromiejskie and Grobla IV, where we created a new street - artistic Podwale. There will be even more news, although there will also be known and liked accents. That is why I invite you to St Dominic's Fair in Gdańsk now - says Dorota Solochewicz, Project Manager St Dominic's Fair .
The first activities related to the assembly of St Dominic's Fair infrastructure will be implemented on July 15 and will last until the start of the event, i.e. until July 27. St Dominic's Fair will last from that day to August 18. Then the dismantling of the Fair infrastructure is planned, which will last until August 25.
– From Monday, July 15, we will start installing the fair infrastructure in the area of ul. Szeroka – says Marcin Latuszek, director of the MTG operational department. – Next, Pańska, Podmłyńska, Rajska streets. However, on the other side of the Motława, works will start the following week, i.e. on Monday, July 22. The assembly works will last until July 25, we are introducing exhibitors on July 26, and the fair will start on July 27. We start our dismantling works immediately after the end of the Fair, which ends on August 18, and we plan to complete them by August 25 at the latest - assures Marcin Latuszek.
During the periods when the fair infrastructure is being assembled and dismantled, there may be temporary disruptions and subsequent closures of streets or their sections. For the purposes of the Fair, the following streets of the Old Town, the Main Town and the area of ul. will be closed. Długie Ogrody: Szeroka, Tkacka, Kołodziejska, Pańska, Węglarska, Św. Ducha, Straganiarska, Targ Rybny, Grobla I - IV, Długie Ogrody, Szafarnia, Rajska, Wielkie Młyny, Podmłyńska, Podwale Staromiejskie (Targ Drzewny-Pańska section). Communication with residents
In connection with the difficulties that may occur during St Dominic's Fair , an additional, dedicated function dedicated to the needs of this event in the Gdańsk Contact Center application will be launched. There will also be a special helpline of the Gdańsk Contact Center , through which residents will be informed about the course of the event, changes in traffic organization and will be able to submit their comments there. Thinking about tourists, cooperation with hotels and facilities providing hotel services, which are located in SOD, was undertaken. As part of cooperation, these institutions undertook to provide their guests with information about changes in traffic organization and difficulties regarding parking in the very center of Śródmieście.
