St Dominic's Fair 2024 will charm with its festival atmosphere, trade and gastronomy zones, elements of surprise, educational and cultural values, as well as various events during which everyone will find something interesting. The Festival of Wonders will start in Gdańsk on July 27 and will last until August 18. There will be 613 merchants on the streets of the Old Town, and there will be plenty of new products.
St Dominic's Fair is taking shape so that from next Saturday one of the largest and coolest outdoor events in Europe can once again be enjoyed by the inhabitants of Gdańsk and tourists.
St. Fair Dominica, of course, has a centuries-old tradition of fairs. However, we in Gdańsk, seeing what is happening in the modern world, try to adapt it so that it is attractive to the inhabitants of our city and numerous guests from Poland and around the world. Last year's St. Fair. Dominica was visited by over a million people. This is a great result! – says Aleksandra Dulkiewicz , mayor of Gdańsk.
St. Fair Dominika has over 700 stands and over 600 exhibitors. Almost 1/4 of them are entrepreneurs from Gdańsk who will be able to offer their daily work and what they do best to visitors. The fair is therefore an economic event. It is an element that stimulates our economic life in Gdańsk, Pomerania and Poland. However, it is not only a trade festival, but also a social event. For many years, as part of events such as Przystanek Równość, the Children's Zone, and various other places where you can learn about our Gdańsk culture and economy, we have also been trying to talk about important social issues. All this is being done in partnership with our councils, for example the Youth City Council or the Gdańsk Senior Council , adds Mayor Dulkiewicz.
Among the 613 exhibitors who will occupy 760 stands, there will be 210 traders from Pomerania, including 130 from Gdańsk. There will be guests from other regions of Poland and abroad, including: from: Lithuania, Ukraine, Great Britain, Hungary, France, United States and Italy. From the first day of the St. Fair. Dominika, the Zone of Cities and Regions will operate on Świętopełka Square. This is a space where regions and cities will present themselves, inviting tourists and residents of Pomerania to visit them. The hosts of the Zone will be, among others, the following voivodeships: Pomeranian Voivodeship, Lublin Voivodeship, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and the Żuławy and Cyprus Association.
It is a tradition of the regional government to promote St. Patrick's Day during the Fair. Dominika of our brand - Pomorska Street. I cordially invite you to see the craftsmanship of our craftsmen and taste delicious products. I especially encourage you to visit the stands of social economy entities that combine craftsmanship with social sensitivity. Today, on August 2, I would like to invite you to the Pomeranian Festival of Social Economy Entities - said Leszek Bonna , Vice-Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
I hope that the Pomerania Development Agency is starting a new tradition and we will try to be present at the St. Peter's Fair. Dominica every year. However, with a slightly different message: through our most colorful brand, Live more Pomerania, we will try to say what we, as residents of Gdańsk and Pomerania, know perfectly well - that it is a phenomenal place to live, work and relax phenomenally. We will encourage those who come to this space to maybe make a crazy decision and think that it is worth living here. Because there is plenty of work here, and I don't have to talk about the quality of life - says Piotr Ciechowicz , vice-president of the Pomerania Development Agency.
The fair is not only shopping and catering zones. It is also a rich festival daily program. It is inextricably linked with fair stops, which will constitute zones where visitors can combine business with pleasure.
We try to provide new, interesting experiences and attractions with each edition. What is important and we are also proud of it is culture. We focus a lot on its level. This does not mean that there will be big, loud concerts, because we do not want to cause any nuisance to the people of Gdańsk, but on the other hand, we want to touch real culture. We also want the St. Fair to be Dominika was a festival so that we could all experience the wonders that have always historically accompanied the Fair, but also so that we could all have the joy and pleasure of staying in these beautiful, wonderful places in Śródmieście - said Andrzej Bojanowski , president of the Gdańsk International Fair.
Fair stops will be integrated into the urban space to constitute a kind of haven between shopping and catering zones. Themed zones will attract not only those seeking relaxation, but also those looking for interesting activities and cultural events.
St. Fair Dominika is an event that connects the inhabitants of Gdańsk, Pomeranians and tourists. This is our promotional anchor that allows us to appear on the tourist map of Europe and the world. One million people who visited Gdańsk last summer are a mix of the local community and tourists. Thanks to the fair, we make ourselves known. We show what is local, Pomeranian, Gdańsk and thanks to this we build authenticity. We can go out to the world, showing Gdańsk as a place where you not only live well, but also have a great time and can try great cuisine - says Łukasz Wysocki , president of the Gdańsk Tourist Organization.
Each subsequent edition of the St. Fair. Dominika brings equally great interest in the collectors' zone. Antiques or items with "soul" are a magnet not only for those who want to buy unique things. The popularity of the zone means that it will gain a new part this year. It will be a Retro Stop, where professional auctions of valuable items will be held. A series called "From the Life of a Collector" is also planned. It will include interviews with the stars of the "Treasure Hunters" program. It is also worth paying attention to the "Young Collector's Guide", thanks to which we will learn, among other things, how to distinguish a valuable item from a dud and how to take care of your treasures through renovation and conservation. The collector's zone and the Retro Stop will be located at ul. Długie Ogrody.
The Retro stop will be one of five stops during the 764th St Dominic's Fair. Where will you find the next ones?

There will also be debuts here. One of them will be the Dobre Jadło Grand Prix, which will bring emotions and culinary competition during a gastronomic competition on August 2. The fair's exhibitors will compete for a prestigious award. A professional jury, composed of experienced chefs such as Andrzej Polan and Sebastian Cichy, will look at each dish with the greatest attention. They will take a closer look at not only the taste, but also the history of the dish and its aesthetic appearance.
