On Wednesday, May 13th, the second meeting of the St. Dominic's Fair Programme Council of the year was held at AMBEREXPO. Representatives of exhibitors, partners, and the event organiser attended the meeting, discussing this year's innovations, safety measures, infrastructure, and the programme for the Festival of Wonders. This year's edition of the St. Dominic's Fair will take place from July 25th to August 16th.
Andrzej Bojanowski, President of the Gdańsk International Fair, and the fair's organising team, led by Dorota Solochewicz, Product Manager of St. Dominic's Fair, met with members of the Programme Council. At AMBEREXPO, with the participation of several dozen people, the most important issues related to the preparations for this year's edition of the event were discussed.
Topics included the new location for the Collectors' Zone on the Coal Market, new rules for one-day exhibitors, and solutions to enhance participant comfort and safety - including new masts with CCTV monitoring.
The organisers also presented investments in infrastructure, including 50 new chalets and the renovation of remaining stalls. There were also announcements of new programme features, such as the Pomeranian Folklore Festival.
At the meeting, good cooperation between the organisers and exhibitors was highlighted, and the use of a new electronic communication system was encouraged. Thanks to a simple QR code-based solution, exhibitors can quickly report organisational and technical issues, and the information goes directly to the relevant departments. The system has already been successfully tested during last year's Christmas Market.
All the presented changes and innovations were met with a very positive reception from the meeting participants. This was the second meeting of the Programme Council this year, which confirmed that preparations for this year's St. Dominic's Fair are in full swing.
Thank you everyone for attending, for your engagement and for the fantastic atmosphere. See you in the summer at the St. Dominic's Fair!
