On 27 July, at 10:00, the stalls of the 764th Jarmark św. Dominika will open for the first time. The official Opening Ceremony of the Festival of Wonders, whose partner is Energa from the ORLEN Group, will begin at 12:00 in front of Artus Court, culminating in the traditional handover of the city key to the merchants and a parade of colourful characters through the streets of the Main Town. This will mark the inauguration of one of the largest and most exciting outdoor events in Europe, running until 18 August.
The Opening Ceremony of Jarmark św. Dominika is a Gdańsk tradition that draws the attention of hundreds of local residents and tourists alike. The festive start of the 764th Jarmark św. Dominika will take place in front of Artus Court, beginning at noon. It will feature elements that have long been associated with the event's Opening Ceremony, alongside several new additions. The highlight will be the handover of the city gate key to the merchants by the Mayor of Gdańsk, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz. A parade of colourful characters will then set off along Długa and Tkacka streets, performing scenes along the way, all the way to Przystanek Równość.
The partner of the Opening Ceremony is Energa from the ORLEN Group, which is once again joining Jarmark św. Dominika this year.
OPENING OF THE FAIR STOPS
A novelty on the first day of this year's Fair will be the opening of each of the special stops.
Flavours' Stop in Świętopełka Square
The zone that no visitor to the Fair will want to miss will open with the very first stall – at 10:00. This is the space where Poland's Regions and Cities present themselves, inviting tourists and residents of Pomerania to come and visit. Here, exciting attractions await, including competitions, tastings, exhibitions, and the large-format game Spy Guy Pomorski, which takes participants on a journey through the region's hidden corners and most fascinating landmarks.
Equality Stop at Heweliusz Square
At 13:00, the stop's programme will kick off with a concert by the band Ludzie. Around this time, the parade from the Opening Ceremony will arrive at the stop. An hour later, the most colourful and joyful event of the Fair begins – the Mascot Parade. Amid cheerful noise and music, it will set off together with Fair visitors towards the AmberSky Adventure Stop. It promises to be a spectacle full of colour, laughter and surprises.
AmberSky Adventure Stop at Targ Rybny
A magical world of fun and laughter will open up for Fair guests, brought to life by mascots appearing together in full force at the AmberSky Adventure Stop. There will also be dance shows, science experiments conducted by the Hevelianum Science Centre, and the lighting of the Olympic flame, symbolising the start of the Dominika Olympics. Kino Helios invites everyone to the ever-popular Bajkowisko storytelling shows.
Retro Stop at Długie Ogrody
When the clock strikes 15:00, the GRH Retrospekcja group will open a show showcasing fashion from the 1970s and 80s. Models dressed in stylish creations will walk the runway, stirring memories of the fashion creativity of those decades. After the show, the models will be available at the Retro Stop for keepsake photos with visitors.
The Gdańsk Port Stop, Under Sails, on Ołowianka
At 18:00, the Gdańsk Port Under Sail stop will officially open – in its own style. On stage, the band Pan B. will perform – four musicians playing pop/rock songs with a bluesy feel.
Every Saturday of the Fair, at 21:00, we also invite you to the light-and-music show at the Observation Wheel on Ołowianka.

Strolling between the market stalls of Jarmark św. Dominika, you'll come across unique, themed streets.
Pomeranian Street:
Location: ul. Szeroka
Pomeranian Street is a unique spot that will tempt everyone with regional delicacies and natural products. Here you can meet Pomeranian craftspeople with their beautiful handmade wares. There will also be stalls offering products and services from organisations that combine economic activity with social responsibility. Everyone is sure to find something for themselves here.
Graphics and Poster Zone – Digital Art.
Location: ul. Tkacka
Tkacka Street, alongside traditional handicrafts, brings encounters with digital art. The hosts of this innovative zone don't use traditional tools to create their images – instead, they turn to computer simulations, crafting posters, digital graphics and stained-glass designs. At the same time, they leave visitors free to interpret the works as they wish. These are often colourful, bold illusions that will beautifully modernise any interior, showcasing the Fair's openness to the world of fantasy and novelty. This digital space made a successful debut at the Fair in 2023.
Polish Fashion Designers' Alley
Location: ul. Straganiarska
Polish Fashion Zone – for many years, designers have used their unique creations to invite visitors of Jarmark św. Dominika into the world of fashion. This fashion often goes beyond traditional cuts – though it also draws on the classics. The creators of ul. Straganiarska guarantee individual, mostly Polish designs. Bold and unexpected creations that will highlight the identity of anyone wishing to express their personality through clothing style or accessories.
Collectors' Zone – Historical Wonders
Location: Retro Stop, ul. Długie Ogrody
It is to Gdańsk that merchants from all over Europe come to trade and exchange historic treasures. This is a place for visitors of all ages to experience tradition mingling with modernity. The Collectors' Zone is a journey through time – a real treat for enthusiasts of antique porcelain and glass, old postcards, paintings, original furniture, jewellery, collectible coins and stamps, and thousands of other historical wonders and curiosities waiting to be discovered and deserving of a new chapter in their story.
Artistic Street Podwale
Location: ul. Podwale Staromiejskie and Grobla IV
The Artistic Podwale is represented by craftspeople, creators of small manufactories, and local artists. Their range on offer is a wonderful opportunity to encounter both classical and more contemporary art. This is a street of traditional craftsmanship, offering the chance to buy unique ceramics, jewellery, amber, handmade candles, and paintings – not only on canvas – as well as modern, original curiosities and wonders that fit perfectly with Gdańsk's merchant character and history.
29th BREAD FESTIVAL IN GDAŃSK
For 29 years now, the Bread Festival has been one of the key programme events of Jarmark św. Dominika. This year's edition will take place on 28 July (Sunday) at Skwer Heweliusza, offering plenty of attractions and tastings of delicious bread and baked goods. The stage and tent programme will accompany visitors from 10:00 to 17:00.
The 29th Bread Festival forms part of the healthy-eating promotion strategy of the Cereal Grain and Grain Products Promotion Fund, which finances it. For baking craftspeople, it is an excellent opportunity to build relationships with customers and promote high-quality grain products, in line with the trend of mindful meal planning that includes good bread. During the Bread Festival, visitors can look forward to tastings of baked goods and pastries, take part in competitions with flour and bakery products as prizes, and enjoy artistic performances, including singing sea shanties together with the band Trzy Majtki. Teatr Qfer will provide attractions for the youngest participants of the Bread Festival. In the consultation zone, experts and dietitians will offer those interested professional advice on choosing the right bread for their everyday diet. This event was made possible thanks to cooperation between the organising committee, whose members include representatives of the Polish Association of Baking Craftsmen, the Gdańsk Guild of Bakers and Confectioners, and MTG. The permanent attractions also include the AmberSky Ferris Wheel and the Spinning Barrels spinning coaster, which can be found on Ołowianka.
It is worth adding that every Saturday of the Fair, at 21:00, AmberSky invites you to a light and music show at the Ferris Wheel.

We remind you that from 15 July to 25 August, special Fair traffic arrangements will be in place. Details of the changes to Old Town street layouts are available on the website https://jarmarkswdominika.pl/dla-mieszkancow/.
We encourage you to travel to Jarmark św. Dominika by public transport. However, if you choose to come by car, the organisers recommend using the Park&Ride zone at Plac Zebrań Ludowych – the price of the parking ticket includes a free tram ride to and from the Fair.
