St Dominic's Fair is a real paradise for lovers of good food. At fair stops you will find over a hundred gastronomic stands offering both local specialties and kitchens from around the world. This is a unique place where we will taste oriental, Mediterranean, regional cuisines from various parts of Poland and of course Gdańsk delicacies prepared as part of the special program "Gdańsk Smaki". Each of the exhibitors has its own proven recipes and regular customers - these are not accidental sellers, but people for whom cooking is a way of life.
The fair is also a great opportunity to discover new flavors without risk. You can try a kitchen that you have never eaten before, and if you don't like it - the next stand is just a few steps away. Many places offer small tasting portions, which allows you to taste more different dishes.
From 2024, the best culinary proposals are additionally highlighted in the "Good Taste" competition - in the last edition Azima Tatar delicacies for pilaf, a basement of councilors for sour soup, and the main Grand Prix prize, a representative of Cuban cuisine RC Reinaldo - for oil Vieja, i.e. a jerked beef with yellow rice.
