The fourth edition of the Jazz concert series on the island will take place in the summer of 2025 on the picturesque island of Ołowianka in Gdańsk. The event, organized by the new, goes from the sea and AMBEREXPO , continues the tradition of presenting the most interesting representatives of the young Polish jazz scene.
Jazz on the island is a space of dialogue between tradition and modernity, improvisation and composition, acoustics and electronics. The festival is part of a broader context of the development of the young Polish jazz scene, which is gaining more and more recognition in both the country and abroad.
The young Polish jazz scene is characterized today by extraordinary diversity and openness to experiments. Artists skillfully combine traditional forms of jazz with the influence of electronic music, avant -garde or film music, creating unique sounds that gain recognition of critics and the audience. This creative energy makes Poland one of the most important centers of modern jazz in Europe.
Importantly, young jazz musicians often act at the interface of various genres and cultures, which results in fresh projects and extraordinary cooperations. Their work is full of passion and authenticity, while aware of the musical heritage. Thanks to this, Polish jazz remains dynamic, constantly attracting new listeners/listener and determining new trends on the world stage.
