Stefan Baier - was born in 1967 in Passau. During his school times, he took lessons on the bodies of Professors Toni Glas and Wolfgang Zerera. Then he studied church music, as well as a game on organ and harpsichord in Regensburg, Mułachium and Vienna under the guidance of such masters as Karl Friedrich Wagner, Michael Radulescu and Gordon Murray. Since 2003, he has been teaching playing organ as a professor at the Catholic University of Church Music and Musical Pedagogy in Regensburg. Since 2011, he has been the rector of this university at the same time. In addition, he conducts courses devoted to organ and old music. The artist also lectured guest at universities in Sweden, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Portugal and Cuba. Since 2006, he has been conducting regular lectures at the Institute of Church Music in Opole. His contribution to building Polish -German relations was awarded with the Honorary Order of the University of Opole. He took part in musical recordings as a soloist as well as a member of the music band, cooperated as the publisher and editor of the "Sacri Concentus Ratisbonenses" series.
Stefan Baier sits on the jury of many music competitions and gives concerts on organ and harpsichord in many European, North Africa, Japan and Cuba countries. Prof. Since January 2013, Baier is the deputy chairman of the conference of directors of Catholic Centers of Church Music Education Centers of Germany.
