A dizzying career in the times of the Polish People's Republic made the word " combine " . In the face of chronic deficiencies on the food market, preparing a meal for the family became a real challenge - it required ingenuity, resourcefulness and often cunning. So "nothing" was cooked, using what they managed to get. Dr. Grzegorz Piotrowski - sociologist, head of the Social Movement Studio at the University of Gdańsk, an employee of the Science and Collections at the European Solidarity Center and editor of the book looked like what the daily cuisine of the 1980s looked like .
