The exhibition focuses on how nature is shaped in the city. The starting point is the surface, meaning what we move on and stop on. Cobblestones, asphalt, soil, or water dictate access and direction of movement, and influence how we use spaces. In the building in Nowy Port, there will be installations that alter the conditions of perception rather than present landscapes. The works introduce air movement, scent, and changing light, making the perception of space dependent on the situation and time.
The reference point is the approach of the Danish studio SLA, which treats nature as an element of urban infrastructure. Their practice involves designing the environment on the scale of everyday life, from microclimate to water management and the use of public spaces. The exhibition will also encompass the area in front of the gallery entrance. Piotr Jurek’s table will be designated for shared use and meetings. The visit will not be limited to viewing objects. The viewer will move between the works and test,
How do they change the conditions of staying in space.
