Marc Fitze - is a titular organist at the Heiliggeistkirche church in Bern, a professor of organs at the Conservatory in Bern and the artistic director of the Heiliggeistkirche Baroque Center. The artist regularly performs in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, Great Britain, Spain, Ukraine, Mexico, Israel, the Netherlands, the USA and Japan. In recent years he took part as a soloist in many prestigious music projects, including At festivals: Lucerne Festival, Minato Mirail Hall Yokohama, Eglise St. Clothilde de Paris, Victoria Hall Genève, International Organ Festival Rapallo or St. Bavo Haarl. He made radio and record recordings in Switzerland and the USA. He is a member of the Association des Amis de l'A Art de Marcel Dupré and the vice president of the International Association Jehan Alain based in Romainmôtier. Marc Fitze got a musical education at the Music Academy in Basel in the organ class of Guy Bovet and at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston (USA) under the direction of prof. Yuko Hayashi. He obtained a championship diploma and a soloist diploma in Basel in 2002. He is a laureate of the Hans-Balmer Award for the best organ diploma of the year. During his studies, he participated in master courses led by Marie-Claire Alain, Jean Boyer, William Porter, Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, Peter Planówavsky and Joris Verdin. The organist also specializes in artistic harmonium and its historical performance, and also has a private collection of historic Mustel instruments. The artist also gives concerts with orchestras, among others with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Sir Marek Elder, MusikkolLegium Wintherthur, Berner Symphoni Orchester and Zürcher Kammerorchester.
