Join us for an extraordinary opening of the Equality Festival! On one stage, two musical elements will meet: the innovative live looping genius of Jan Elf and the rock soul and powerful vocals of Magdalena Karmiłowicz.
Jan Elf – vocalist and beatboxer from Gdańsk, four-time Polish champion in the loop station category. He is a true one-man band, who, using only his voice, looped and processed in real-time, creates captivating compositions. His performances are full of passion and emotion, captivating audiences worldwide. Jan masterfully blends elements of folk, jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music in his work.
Magdalena Karmiłowicz – a charismatic vocalist, composer and lyricist, a student of jazz vocals at the Music Academy in Gdańsk. Though she moves across different genres, her heart beats strongest to the rhythm of rock and soul. Her powerful voice and on-stage authenticity make every performance a dose of pure musical energy. She is currently working on her debut album of original material.
Crucially, for these two artists, this will not be their first opportunity to work together – both are members of the multi-award-winning vocal group, 5/6. The stage synergy and mutual understanding guarantee a concert full not only of individual virtuosic performances but also of captivating duets and artistic dialogue.
