Chrust is a Polish music group playing modern ethnic music. Three completely different personalities representing the musical styles they love (folk, electro, rock) give in combination the unique, contemporary sound of the band. The group's work is based on Polish traditional and Slavic music, inspired by bands such as Percival Schuttenbach, Wardruna, Trent Reznor, Tool and Igor Herbut.
Chrust was founded in Gdańsk in 2021, then their first single promoting the group's activities, under the name "Hen after the river", appeared. A year later, in May 2022, their first, fully original album "Chrust" was released. Despite the band's short biography, the artists have many concerts, won competitions, festivals and distinctions behind them.
"We want to show our music to the recipients that nothing they experience is foreign to us. We want to show them that we also often go through similar things, which may cause them to treat our creativity as a friend, therapy or relief. "
This year they participated in Polish preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest, taking 4th place in the audience voting. Shortly afterwards they appeared in the Must Be The Music program, winning 4 x from the jury, a year earlier they played at exceptional events such as men's playing 2024, Great Seprsege 2024, Slot Art Festival 2024, Sea You Music Showcase 2024, or the song competition of Grzegorz Ciechowski in Tczew 2024.
Currently, they are fresh after the release of the second album "Before Twilight", which is a collection of their experiences and ideas from almost 3 years.
