Event description:
We invite you to a performance to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
A poetic tale of the drama of civilians hiding in the ruins of Gdańsk in March 1945. Women, children, the elderly and the sick find shelter in St. Nicholas' Church, the only one to survive the ravages of war.
„Saved” is a performance in which dance, words, and music speak of that which cannot be expressed in words. Inspired by an authentic letter written after years, it becomes the voice of those who survived, remained silent, and remembered.
On the stage, history and the present meet, drama and hope, destruction and beauty – that which has survived in art.
This is not a story about war, but about humanity.
Not a document, but a testament.
Not an accusation, but a memory.
Not a reconstruction, but an attempt to understand what it truly is: to be rescued.
Recommended age: 18+ *
Children are involved in the show. When performing in the show, they only participate in their scenes. Afterwards, they are safe with their guardian backstage.
