Even if the walls of the University of Gdańsk are familiar to you, our newly opened permanent exhibition will surprise you with a fresh perspective. It's not just a story about the establishment and development of the university, which has been educating outstanding scientists, artists, and leaders since 1970. It is, above all, a journey through the lives of the people who created it. You will see unique memorabilia, archives, and photographs that will bring you closer to the student culture of past decades, groundbreaking research, and symbols of academic identity. Thanks to interactive elements and modern narrative, you will feel like a part of this extraordinary community.

What's happening at the museum now?
The museum does not live by history alone. During the St. Dominic's Fair, we invite you to special events that will allow you to look at Gdańsk from a completely new, academic perspective during Tuesday's curatorial tours.
Furthermore, until 18th October, you can immerse yourself in the silence and stark beauty of the Arctic thanks to the temporary exhibition. „SILENT WHITE”. This is a series of extraordinary, monochromatic photographs by Maciej Żynda – a philosopher, computer scientist, and artist who has captured the inaccessible landscapes of Spitsbergen in his work. This exhibition is a study of stillness, silence, and light that stays with you long after you've left.
Whether you are a graduate, a resident of Gdańsk, or a tourist, the University of Gdańsk Museum offers a unique experience. Come and discover how fascinating the world of science can be when it's told with passion and through the lens of human stories.
