St. Dominic's Fair among the best in Europe according to Forbes

St. Dominic's Fair in Gdańsk is the Top 10 coolest events in Europe that will take place in 2024. The ranking based on the opinions of travel experts was published by Forbes. St. Dominic's Fair shares places in the top ten with, among others: with: Munich Oktoberfest, Saint's Day Patrick's Day in Dublin, Sanfermines Festival in Pamplona or Cheese Rolling in Cooper's Hill.
Forbes appreciated this year's St. Dominic's Fair in Gdańsk. The description of the selection drew attention to the rich history of the event, which dates back to 1260, the variety of stands, and food zones with dozens of world cuisines.
"Together with traditional Christmas markets and Oktoberfest, it is considered one of the largest open-air cultural and commercial events in Europe, " we read in the justification for the selection.
" People of all ages will find something for themselves at the stalls scattered around the streets of Gdańsk's Old Town, where visitors are provided with entertainment including concerts, costume performances, parades, festivals, fireworks displays and numerous competitions," adds the author of the text.
In the top 10 coolest events in Europe, St. Dominic's Fair found himself in a distinguished group. Equally important are events such as the previously mentioned Munich Oktoberfest or St. Patrick's Day. Patrick's Day in Dublin, Sanfermines Festival in Pamplona, ​​Cheese Rolling in Cooper's Hill, Wine Battle in Haro, La Tomatina Festival in Bunol, Marathon Des Châteaux Du Médoc in Gironde, King's Day in Amsterdam and the Festival of Lights in Zagreb.

St. Dominic's Fair has been present on the streets of the Old Town in Gdańsk for 764 years. This unique, one of the largest outdoor events in Europe has become a festival of positive emotions. For three weeks of summer, at the turn of July and August, the atmospheric streets "live" with the fair rhythm. The best Polish craftsmen, creators and artists appear here.
