Cristina Palucci - She studied violin at the Conservatorio ‘G. Verdi’ in Milan, where she obtained her first and second-level diplomas. She then participated in numerous specialised courses in Italy and abroad and earned a Master's degree in Baroque violin at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Genève in Switzerland under Florence Malgoire. Additionally, Palucci is a graduate of palaeography and music philology from the University of Cremona. She performs as a soloist and as a „sidewoman” with chamber ensembles and orchestras (including the Aosta Chamber Orchestra, Aikoros Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra “La Piccola Sinfonica di Milano”, Union European Chamber Orchestra (UECO), Orchestra Stabile di Bergamo, Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma, Orchestra da Camera di Alessandria, Orchestra Aikorus di Bologna, Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza, Orchestra del Friuli Venezia Giulia). She has performed throughout Europe, Switzerland, Israel, South America, England, and the USA. Cristina Palucci has collaborated with eminent conductors such as Donato Renzetti, N. Samale, P. Rophè, F.M. Carminati, Karl Martin, U.B. Michelangeli, A. Pinzauti, Giuseppe Sinopoli, and Riccardo Muti.
She is the founder of the Accademia degli Orfei ensemble, specialising in Baroque performance practice, and the artistic director of the “International Festival of Early Music – Vaghezze dell’AERE”. She has numerous album and radio recordings for Italian radio stations RAI, as well as for Spanish broadcaster Radio Clásica.
Walter D’Arcangelo He was born in Chieti, Italy (Abruzzo). He is a graduate of the conservatory Luigi D’Annunzio in Pescara, where he studied organ and composition, receiving a diploma with honours. He has participated in masterclasses led by, among others, I. Isoir, H. Vogel, L. Rogg, E. Koimann, M. Radulescu, W. Zerer and P. Westerbrik. Furthermore, he deepened his knowledge of 15th–17th century music under the guidance of the renowned organist and pedagogue Lorenzo Ghielmi. He is a laureate of organ competitions (including first prize at the Giovani Esecutori competition, Senigalla, 1994; second prize at the Chamber Music Competition and People’s Choice Award, Puglia/Gravina, 2000). Walter D’Arcangelo also serves as president of the Adriano Fedri Organ Association, which is dedicated to promoting organ music and researching its history. As an organist and harpsichordist, the artist performs in his native Italy as well as in Austria, Germany, France, Hungary, Belgium, Poland, Slovenia, Norway, Spain, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Lithuania, presenting a rich repertoire of organ literature. He has recorded for Twentieth Century and for Synthagma Musicum.
He lectured on organs and organ improvisation at the Giuseppe Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro. He is currently the organist at the church of St. Giustio, in his native Chieti. He collaborates with the S. Filippo Neri Association. Walter D’Arcangelo is the artistic director of the International Organistic Festival in Gamberale and in Abbruzzo, and the Itinerari Organistici Abbruzzesi Festival.
