At the St. Dominic's Fair stalls, you'll mainly find items you can't buy in online shops. Clothes, interior design elements, practical home goods like duvets or plates, children's toys, local specialities, or health-promoting products – most are made in single copies or small batches. These are the works of artisans and artists who often prepare for the festival all year round, putting both skill and heart into their creations. Each item has its own story and distinctive features that set it apart from mass production.
Even if you don't want to buy anything, it's worth coming just to see the works and meet their creators. The vendors are happy to talk about their techniques, inspirations, or creative process. For many of them, the Fair is the most important event of the year and an opportunity for direct contact with the audience. These conversations often prove to be as valuable as the purchases themselves, as they allow for a better understanding of the value of handmade work and to meet people who, in the age of automation, still focus on traditional craftsmanship.
Discover themed shopping streets
Although the marvels of our artists and craftspeople can be bought in practically every corner of the festival, we've planned a few streets with one specific assortment in mind. They are definitely worth visiting!
