AmberSky's 10th anniversary at the St. Dominic's Fair!

AmberSky is a long-term sponsor of the St. Dominic's Fair, ensuring excellent fun as part of attractions such as: the „Przystanek Przygoda z AmberSky” (Adventure Stop with AmberSky) zone, the Ferris Wheel, the Gdańsk Carousel, and the Spinning Coaster Wirujące Beczki (Spinning Barrels). This year marks the 10th anniversary of cooperation as the Main Sponsor, and that means only one thing: MORE! We're talking about surprises, an expanded attraction zone, more fun, smiles, and positive emotions, as well as beautiful photo and film opportunities.

Children's Joy – AmberSky Adventure Stop

More fun for children, and therefore an expanded Przystanek Przygoda zone with AmberSky, where many attractions await children and their parents from noon until evening. This is a creative place with an interesting artistic programme, full of smiles, fun, learning, workshops and healthy sports competition. And specifically?

• This year we have a new attraction here: „”Gold Rush – Treasure Hunter". This is a proposal for true treasure hunters, who, in a gold rush-like frenzy, will pan through sand in streams of water for „precious stones”. The treasures can be identified and checked where they occur in nature and in what terrain in Poland, and most importantly, taken home as a souvenir and perhaps to begin a fascinating adventure with a new passion.
• AmberSky Ferris Wheel with exciting competition for prizes
• A simulator awaits adrenaline and virtual reality fans „Whitewater Rafting – VR Simulator”. The participants, seated in a moving boat and wearing VR goggles, will be transported to a dangerous jungle. The virtual projection and sound effects will provide an almost real experience.

• Labyrinth with tasks about Gdańsk – an educational attraction concerning Gdańsk's city, history, and symbols in the form of a maze
• Sensory and arts and crafts activities (for younger children), such as: Sensory cube, Painting pebbles and terraced houses, Ribbon gazebo, wax hand casts

• AmberSky Traveller's Passport Outdoor Game
• Wall of Dreams – a place where children and adults drop off written dreams. The most interesting ones are brought to life on stage during the animation.
• Workshop: “Conjure Treasures from AmberSky”, and here amulet making with amber, ceramic plate painting, scented soaps, traveller's bags, sock mascots,
• Festiwal Bajkowisko so a land of fairy tales, excellent fun, and good humour with art for children.

The Gdańsk Carousel – Will delight old and young

Dazzling neighbours and guests alike is the beautiful retro Gdańsk Carousel. Decorated with key elements of Gdańsk's architecture and landscape, it's not just an attraction but also a meeting place (an elegant relaxation zone has sprung up around it) where people share smiles and joy, creating shared memories. Its charm lies in its simplicity and the happiness it evokes in everyone's hearts, regardless of age. Additionally, in the evening, when the carousel is illuminated by thousands of lights, it becomes a true visual spectacle, creating a magical atmosphere that delights everyone who beholds it.

The AmberSky Ferris Wheel – A Beloved Attraction for the Last Time

The AmberSky Ferris Wheel has blended beautifully into the landscape and tourist attractions of Gdańsk, becoming one of its hallmarks. This is the 10th season and the 10th appearance of our AmberSky Ferris Wheel at the Dominican Fair and, at the same time… the last. This means it's the LAST CHANCE during this year's St. Dominic's Fair to ride the current wheel, beloved by the residents and visitors of the Tricity. After the Fair, it will be dismantled and prepared for a long ocean journey. The Gdańsk wheel will travel to San Antonio (a city of about 1.5 million inhabitants) in Texas, USA, where it will delight and bring joy to millions of people.

A ride on the Ferris wheel offers an unforgettable experience and magnificent views of the surrounding landscape. As it rises towards the sky (to a height of 50 metres above sea level), it not only provides the opportunity to admire the city’s panorama, but also offers moments of relaxation in comfortable, air-conditioned gondolas. Every ride is a unique journey during which you can see famous landmarks, picturesque parks and hidden corners that might otherwise be overlooked from ground level. The AmberSky Ferris wheel is the perfect place for a romantic date, a family outing or a get-together with friends. This tourist attraction offers an unforgettable experience that will remain in your memory forever.

Spinning Coaster – Spinning Barrels – for thrill-seekers

Spinning Coaster WIrritating Barrels – along a track that isn’t particularly high but is heavily looped – the carriages climb slowly, then accelerate as they plummet downwards, spinning round and round on their own axis. The rush of air, unexpected turns and spins make every second of this ride great fun. The attraction is safe and open to all daredevils over 95 cm tall.

Paragliding simulator

For those seeking thrills in the sky, a paragliding flight simulator awaits. This realistic virtual experience, which accurately replicates the physics of paragliding without the need to physically take to the air, allows you to safely familiarise yourself with the basics of paraglider control and behaviour, whilst providing an unforgettable experience and a real thrill. Plus, breathtaking views and adrenaline pumping at full throttle😊

2 events: to save lives & for fun

During the Fair, AmberSky is also hosting two special events taking place near the AmberSky Observation Wheel:

• On Saturday 2 August, there will be an event entitled 'The Wheel of Life'. This is an annual educational and charity event during which a blood drive is held – we have collected around 200 litres so far. Everyone who visits the club on the day will be able to take part in life-saving demonstrations and also have a consultation with a personal trainer.
• Saturday 9 August, in the late afternoon and early evening, at A Magical Night. This is yet another event in the series. Professional displays of illusion and light, competitions, and face painting with neon paints – all this creates an unforgettable atmosphere and guarantees a great night out.

The Amber Sky Ferris Wheel in its new „Christmas” edition”

The new AmberSky Ferris wheel is being custom-built by DutchWheels Bv from the Netherlands, and we’ll be presenting it to the residents of the Tri-City as a Christmas gift. The wheel will be 60 metres high (10 metres taller than the current one, which is equivalent to three storeys) and will be the tallest and most technologically advanced observation wheel in Poland.

The new AmberSky Ferris wheel will be located in the same spot, but will be rotated by 35 degrees towards the Old Town to enhance the view and make the panorama even more appealing. The attraction will offer visitors an even better experience (from ticket-purchasing facilities, to a more attractive and comfortable waiting area before boarding the Ferris wheel, right through to a more comfortable ride in a spacious gondola with an unobstructed panoramic view).

Made from bronze, aluminium and steel, thus offering the best material composition for such structures. With various ecological solutions, including a „green roof”. Each of the 30 gondolas will accommodate up to 12 people and will be equipped with a screen with an audio guide, from which you will be able to learn about the history and architecture of the city of Gdańsk. Comfortable: ventilated, air-conditioned and heated depending on the weather, with 2-way communication with the operator, the gondolas will be waiting for our guests in the second half of December this year.
