764. St Dominic's Fair is taking shape and we can already say that it will be full of wonders - from trade, through gastronomy, to entertainment. The streets in the heart of Gdańsk will be teeming with life. This tradition has been going on since 1260 and is an inseparable part of the summer season in the capital of Pomerania.
Over the years, the St Dominic's Fair was changing so that exhibitors and visitors could derive the greatest possible pleasure from participating in this event. This year will be no different. Although we do not hide the fact that we are constantly inspired by history and the broadly understood miracles that appeared during the Fair.
One of the wonderful moments experienced by the participants of the Fair in 1790 was the first flight of a hot air balloon in Gdańsk. In the 19th century, the so-called a mechanical cab, i.e. a prototype of a car. In the past, the appearance of a zebra, an elephant or a crocodile in the event space was considered a miracle. Miracles were also performed by theater groups that once visited the fair in Gdańsk in large numbers.
