This will be a time of wonderful experiences in the heart of Gdańsk!

The countdown to St. Dominic's Fair 2024 has begun. The festival of wonderful experiences in the very heart of Gdańsk will traditionally last for three weeks. It's worth booking your time now to become part of one of Europe's largest outdoor summer events. We are also awaiting exhibitors who can register via the refreshed website jarmarkswdominika.pl.

764. The St. Dominic's Fair is taking shape, and we can already reveal that it will be full of wonders – from trade to gastronomy and entertainment. The streets in the heart of Gdańsk will be buzzing with life. This tradition has been going on since 1260 and is an inseparable part of the summer season in the capital of Pomerania.

Over the years, the St. Dominic's Fair has undergone changes so that exhibitors and visitors can get the most enjoyment from participating in this event. It will be no different this year. Although we do not hide that we are constantly inspired by history and the broadly understood wonders that have appeared during the Fair.

One of the wonderful moments experienced by attendees of the Fair in 1790 was the first hot air balloon flight in Gdańsk. In the 19th century, a so-called mechanical carriage, a prototype of a car, was presented during the event. The appearance of a zebra, an elephant or a crocodile at the event was considered a miracle in the past. Theatre groups, which used to visit the Gdańsk Fair in large numbers, also performed wonders.

Online Fairground

One of this year's new features is the refreshed website for the St. Dominic's Fair. The new version is already available at jarmarkswdominika.pl. You will find clear information, a minimalist design, distinctive graphics of the themed market stalls, but most importantly, plenty of space and „air” – just like during the St. Dominic's Fair.

Through the website, using the link https://jarmarkswdominika.pl/strefa-wystawcy/zostan-wystawca/ prospective exhibitors can submit their participation offer to the organiser.

We are waiting for applications from craftspeople, artisans, creators of ambitious design, designers, producers of regional products, and original food-to-go caterers serving interesting dishes.

We invite everyone who wants to showcase their originality, uniqueness, or special skills to take part in the market.

However, regular exhibitors at the Fair visit the already familiar zone https://jarmarkdominika2024.exposupport.pl/default, where they register and complete the necessary formalities. It is worth considering the fact that the number of places is limited and it is better not to delay contacting the sales department of the St. Dominic's Fair.

The Fairground is, of course, an excellent place to promote partners and sponsors. We offer space to promote brands in specially arranged zones. This year, for the first time, there will be is being created  The Cities and Regions Zone at the Flavours Showcase (Świętopełka Square). The most beautiful cities and regions from Poland will present their attractions and invite guests to visit them.

The St. Dominic's Fair in the Top 10 Events in Europe

The very beginning of 2024 brought a wonderful distinction for the Gdańsk Fair. It was included in the Top 10 coolest events in Europe to take place this year. The ranking, created based on the opinions of travel experts, was published by the esteemed title – Forbes. St. Dominic's Fair shares a spot in the top ten with, among others: Munich's Oktoberfest, St. Patrick's Day in Dublin, the San Fermín festival in Pamplona, and Cheese Rolling in Cooper's Hill.

„Along with traditional Christmas markets and Oktoberfest, it is considered one of the largest open-air cultural and trade events in Europe,” the justification for the award stated. The distinction shows that the quality of the St. Dominic's Fair, which has significantly improved in recent years, is also being recognised beyond our country's borders.

Events and Attractions of the St. Dominic's Fair

The Gdańsk Fair also features integral, permanent events and attractions which, year after year, enjoy immense popularity among residents and visitors alike. Therefore, during the 764th edition of the event, the Stops will include:

  • Flavours at Świętopełka Square – you'll taste world cuisine here, and catch your breath
  • Under Sails on Ołowianka – at this spot, you and your friends can enjoy good music, watch a film in an open-air cinema, admire light illuminations and much, much more.
  • Adventure at the Fish Market – this is a zone created for the youngest visitors and their parents, who will be able to leave their children in good hands.
  • Equality at Rajska Street – this is a place where, in a summer relaxation format, we discuss important topics such as tolerance, openness, and freedom, and we blur generational and cultural differences.

And these are not all the fair stops. However, we want to keep a few surprises for later.

The AmberSky Ferris Wheel, the Gdańsk Carousel, and the Senior Zone will also be present in the Fairground. From the programme events, we can already invite you to: The Opening and Closing Ceremony, Pomeranian Craftsmanship Day, Social Economy Day, Equality Day, the 30th St. Dominic's Race, and Volunteer Day.
