The Gdańsk Flavours Festival is a unique three-day celebration of good food in the heart of Gdańsk! Under the patronage of the European Capital of Gastronomy, we have prepared a programme full of culinary inspirations, tastings and unforgettable experiences for your taste buds!
Together with the Gdańsk Tourist Organisation, we will take you on a culinary journey through Gdańsk's flavours, both historical and modern.
1 August - Grand Prix Good Taste Competition
13:00 - 18:00
The Grand Prix Dobry Smak award is a distinction given to the best restaurateurs at each edition of the Jarmark.
During the previous edition, exhibitors prepared their dishes in two elimination rounds. They were judged by: Andrzej Polan and Sebastian Cichy, authorities in the world of gastronomy, as well as the Grand Prix Chairman, Gdańsk City Councillor Piotr Dzik, and the Vice-President of the Gdańsk International Fair, Paweł Orłowski.
The Grand Prix Dobry Smak was presented by the jury to: Azima – for pilaw, and Piwnica Rajców – for fried herring. The Grand Prix was awarded to the representative of Cuban cuisine, RC Reinaldo – for ropa vieja, or pulled beef with yellow rice.
Rivalry will also return during this edition, this time as part of the new Gdańsk Flavours Festival.
2 August - Silent Meadow of Flavours
13:00 - 18:00
The St. Dominic's Fair is an event where we can also engage in charitable initiatives, which is why we are inviting you today to the third edition of a unique event – Cicha Polana Smaków.
The stars of this event are Sebastian Cichy and Andrzej Polan, who will lead an exciting live cooking show with a tasting session, which will also be a charity event. The chefs will demonstrate a spectacular culinary show, sharing their extraordinary skills and kitchen secrets.
Prepare for delicious dishes, taste surprises, and lots of positive emotions! 😊
