Why do we do this?
The aim of the „Battle of the Regions” competition is, among other things, to promote regional dishes and the richness and diversity of local culinary traditions. An important aspect is also the promotion and support of the Rural Women's Circles, particularly in terms of activating local communities and social groups in rural areas.
„Battle of the Regions” is a nationwide competition in which representatives of Rural Women's Circles prepare a regional dish based on their own recipe and local products, using at least one regional product. Regional products must be associated with a given geographical area and be characterised by the unique features of the region from which they originate. They should be produced using traditional methods, stemming from tradition and customs cultivated in a given region.
In the jubilee edition of the „Battle of Regions” Culinary Competition, 1843 Rural Women's Circles and associations registered to participate, including 78 from the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
